Tecnolight Senza Plus Surface LED Downlight 6W-12W IP44

The Tecnolight Senza Plus is a surface mounted LED downlight built from die cast aluminium, available in 6W and 12W. It is a compact ceiling downlight for retail, hospitality and residential interiors where a recessed fitting is not possible — concrete slabs, timber ceilings, or any space with no void above. Rated IP44 with a 36 degree beam and a choice of five colour temperatures from warm white 2700K to cool daylight 6000K, it can also be supplied as a hanging pendant version on the same body.

Do I need to cut my ceiling for the Senza Plus?

No. This is a surface mounted luminaire — no cutout, no aperture, no ceiling void required. The body fixes directly onto the finished ceiling through its base plate, so the only hole you need is a small one for the supply cable. That said, it is a hardwired mains fitting with an external LED driver and must be installed and connected by a qualified electrician. Plan the fixing position before the ceiling is finished, because the mounting screws go into the substrate.

• Do I need a cutout in my ceiling?
  No. The Senza Plus is surface mounted and needs no aperture. It screws onto the face of the ceiling, which is why it suits concrete slabs and ceilings with no void above.
• How do I specify the colour temperature and body finish?
  Colour temperature is selected as a variant on this page — choose from 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K or 6000K. Body finish in black or white is made to order and is not a variant here, so state your preferred finish when you place the order and we will confirm it with the factory.
• Is it dimmable?
  Tecnolight offers this model with either on/off or dimming control. Dimming is a build option rather than a stock configuration, so tell us the dimming protocol you need when ordering.
• Can I use it in a bathroom?
  The IP44 rating covers splashing water from any direction, so it is suitable for general bathroom ceilings outside the immediate shower zone. Check your local zone requirements with your electrician.
