Daily or weekly programming?
The EHN010 is a daily time switch: one programme repeats every 24 hours. That fits anything on the same routine seven days a week — compound and facade lighting, corridor and car park lighting, an irrigation cycle, a circulation pump. The EHN110 is a weekly time switch, so each day carries its own schedule. That is what you want where weekends differ from weekdays: an office, a shop or a warehouse whose load pattern is not identical every day.
Does the timer carry the load itself?
A single-channel time switch has a limited switching capacity. A small lighting group can often be switched directly, but a large lighting bank, a pump or a motor is normally switched through a contactor, with the timer driving the contactor coil instead of carrying the load current.
Leave yourself the module width on the rail before ordering, and have a licensed electrician confirm the switching arrangement and wire it into the board.
