Shop distribution board and panel accessories for UAE panel builders, contractors and maintenance teams — the termination parts and panel-front fittings that finish a board, not the breakers inside it.
Ferrule or lug — which termination do I need?
Bootlace ferrules crimp onto a stranded conductor before it enters a breaker or terminal block, so no strand splays out and the screw clamps onto one solid pin. Cable lugs are ring terminals for bolted joints — incomer tails, busbar landings, earth bars and motor terminals. If you bolt it down, it takes a lug; if you clamp it under a screw terminal, it takes a ferrule.
What size, and which stud hole?
Ferrules are ordered by conductor cross-section and pin length. We stock Kistenmacher insulated ferrules from 0.5mm² to 35mm², colour-coded so the size is still readable after crimping. Lugs need two figures — conductor size and bolt hole. Crystal lugs run from 1.5mm² up to 630mm² with hole sizes from 4mm to 16mm, in light and heavy duty. Measure the stud before ordering: a 12mm hole will not sit on a 16mm stud.
What goes on the panel front?
ABB pilot LED indicator lamps at 230V AC in red, green and yellow, selector switches, auxiliary contact blocks and pistol handles for door-mounted isolators. Any work inside a live board is for a licensed electrician — isolate before you open it. Send us your panel schedule and we will price the full list in AED.
