PVC Trunking

PVC trunking is surface-mounted containment that carries cable along a wall, skirting or ceiling line instead of leaving it loose or cutting into finished plaster. It is the usual answer once building work is done and a wall-mounted TV, an added socket or an extension run still needs tidying and protecting. Each length is a channel with a clip-on lid, cut to size on site, so cable can be added later without breaking anything open.

How is trunking sized?

Trunking is described as width by depth in millimetres. The 10 x 35mm cover listed here is a shallow, wide profile suited to flat runs of lighter cable such as TV, data or a single flex. Deeper sections exist for heavier bundles, but this is the one profile we are holding at the moment rather than a full size range, so call us if you need something larger or in another colour.

Self-adhesive or screw-fixed?

Self-adhesive backing suits smooth painted plaster and goes up without tools. Screw fixing holds better on rough, dusty or hot surfaces, where adhesive tends to let go over time.

Where trunking will carry fixed wiring rather than a plug-in flex, have a licensed electrician plan and install the run. For sections we do not list, speak to our Deira, Dubai counter on +971 4 2224571.
