An Osram Lumilux T8 fluorescent tube, 58W, 5ft (1500mm nominal), G13 base — a longer, higher-output tube for warehouse, industrial, and large commercial fittings.

Will this fit my fixture?

Replacing an identical existing 58W G13 T8 tube is straightforward once power is off — twist out the old tube and twist in the new one. New fittings or ballast changes need an electrician.

  • G13 bi-pin base, 1500mm nominal length

FAQ

  • Will this fit my fixture?
If your existing tube is a G13-base T8 tube around 1500mm (5ft), this is a direct swap.
  • Does this need a starter?
On conventional (magnetic) ballast fittings, yes; on electronic ballast, no separate starter is needed.
  • How is this different from the 36W 4ft tube?
This 58W tube is longer (1500mm vs 1200mm) and gives higher light output — check your fitting's length before switching between the two.
  • Which colour temperature should I choose?
830 for hospitality, 840 for general commercial use, 865 for task-focused industrial areas.
