ABB E 91/32 1-Pole 32A Fuse Switch Disconnector

The E 91/32 is a 1-pole DIN rail mounted fuse switch disconnector designed for overcurrent and short circuit protection using 10x38 mm cylindrical fuse links. Rated at 32A, it combines a fuse holder with a switching function, allowing safe isolation of the protected circuit before fuse replacement. It is a practical solution for distribution boards and control panels across UAE commercial and industrial installations where cylindrical fuse protection is preferred.

Key Features

  • 1-pole fuse switch disconnector rated for 32A, accepting 10x38 mm cylindrical fuse links
  • Padlockable when open, supporting safe lock-out/tag-out procedures during maintenance
  • Compact 18 mm width (1 modular spacing) for space-efficient DIN rail installation
  • Rated insulation voltage of 1kV and operating temperature range of -5°C to +40°C, suited to UAE ambient conditions
  • Genuine ABB quality

Applications

  • Fuse-based circuit protection in panel builder assemblies as an alternative to MCBs
  • Retrofit fuse holder replacement in existing DIN rail distribution boards

FAQ

  • Is this an MCB or an isolator?
It's an isolator (switch-disconnector), not an MCB. It has no overload or short-circuit protection — it only provides a manual on/off disconnect, and should be paired with separate MCBs or RCCBs for circuit protection.
  • Where should this isolator be installed?
Typically as the main incoming switch or a local isolation point ahead of the MCBs/RCCBs in a distribution board, so the whole board (or a section of it) can be isolated for maintenance without needing to trip individual breakers.
  • Can I install this myself?
No. This is trade-only distribution board equipment and must be installed and connected by a licensed electrician in accordance with local wiring regulations.
  • Can this isolator be used to switch a live circuit under load?
Isolators rated for on-load switching can do this within their utilisation category, but check the specific AC rating in the Technical Specifications table — an isolator is not a protective device and should not substitute for a circuit breaker.
